Be a Difference Maker by helping send a child to camp

August 03, 2018

Attending church camp is a HIGHLIGHT for many children as part of their summer activities! Going to camp is insanely fun, physically challenging, spiritually rewarding...all that enhances a child growing up!

Bwanne Ciimban, one of the South Sudanese children who had the opportunity to attend Wesley Woods in 2017 said, "One of the many things I learned at camp was that God is over everyone and He protects us from harm. That's what the counselors do for us also. We learn about God and prayed for each other and other people in our lives."

Perhaps you have a budget for your local children/tweens to attend camp but find that several are unable to participate but your funds remain! Your mission committee or Sunday School Department is looking for ways to reach out in support of children so sending a child to camp is a perfect way to be involved!

The South Sudanese (Mabaan) elementary and tweens need to have this camp experience. Can you help make it happen? Financial assistance is needed to send Mabaan kids to Wesley Woods in 2019.

Give children the opportunity to experience amazing and fun activities by sending them to camp!

Checks may be made payable to:
Iowa Conference United Methodist Camps,
with Mabaan on the designation line.
