Are you interested in making a difference in churches beyond your local context? We are looking to grow our Short-Term Coaching, Conflict, and Congregation Assessment Tool (CAT) Teams. Join Ryan Christenson and current members of our teams during the lunch break on Saturday of Annual Conference to hear more about these important ministry teams. We seek team members who are humble, hungry, people-smart, and conflict-wise who are rooted in faith and active in their local Iowa United Methodist Church. At this lunch, we will highlight the work of each of these three Office of Congregational Excellence teams: - Short-Term Coaching Team: walking with churches for 1 to 3 months as they discern and take next steps. Persons with Ministry Action Planning, strategic planning, or facilitation skills might be good candidates. - Conflict Education Team: developing others in skills and learning (especially speaking and listening) to impact local churches to better value others and be Christian community. Persons with group facilitation, conflict mediation, and communication skills might be good candidates. - Congregation Assessment Tool (CAT Team: assessing current reality in order to help churches, circuit and the Conference name its current reality to identify strategic next steps with a priority of multiplication. Persons with group facilitation and presentation skills might be good candidates. Grab your lunch during the Saturday lunch break (following the Memorial Service), and find the tall table sign in the lunch area (gymnasium). There's no need to RSVP for this gathering. We intend to start at 12:15 and wrap up by 1:15. Come curious, and there's no commitment in coming to the lunch.
