The Iowa Conference of The United Methodist Church is a connection of 767 congregations across eight districts (regions) of the state of Iowa. Served by 651 clergy, the more than 158,000 members of United Methodist communities of faith are part of the 12.2 million worldwide denomination. Bishop Laurie Haller has been, since September 2016, the United Methodist Resident Bishop of Iowa.

The Iowa Conference Center of The United Methodist Church opened in March 2005. Please contact the Communications Team or call 515-974-8907 to arrange a tour for your group. Arrangements for guided tours must be made a minimum of two weeks in advance. If you wish to meet the Bishop, you will need to make prior arrangements through the Episcopal office at 515-974-8902.
Tours takes approximately one hour and are offered during building hours, which are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tours times are unavailable during the week of Annual Conference in June or on holidays when the building is closed.
